Fig. 3. Computed tomography (CT) scans performed 2 weeks after the second transarterial chemoembolization. (A–D) There is a marked, diffuse dilatation of the bile tree, with a newly detected soft tissue lesion (arrows) and a partial radiodense portion (arrowheads) in the distal common bile duct (CBD). The average (Avg) CT densities of the soft tissue portion on enhanced (C) and nonenhanced (D) scans were 31.42 Hounsfield unit (HU) and 27.55 HU, respectively, which means that the lesion showed no enhancement. The previously noted intraductal growth of the tumor in the right intrahepatic duct (IHD) is not visualized. (E, F) Coronal reconstruction images well depict the diffuse dilatation of the biliary tree with a 3 cm elongated-shaped soft tissue lesion (arrows) with a radiopaque portion (arrowheads) in the distal CBD and a disappeared intraductal tumor portion in the right IHD. Std, standard deviation.
