Wirsungography demonstrated a leakage from a secondary branch of the pancreatic tail and a marked chronic pancreatitis (Cambridge endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography based classification). After a low-pressure contrast injection to evaluate the pancreatic duct anatomy, an over-the-wire stone-extraction balloon can be employed to obliterate the duct and confirm the leakage.
